AS Chemistry resources for the new specification (AQA)

This web site is a collection of resources that I have built up over the years for teaching Chemistry in secondary schools.  I teach AQA GCSE Chemistry and AQA AS/A2 Chemistry, and these resources are particularly relevant to these specifications, but they will be useful for other specifications.  If you spot any errors in any resource, then please contact me.

Who am I?

I am Richard Grime and am Head of Science & Chemistry at Ripon Grammar School in North Yorkshire.  I am an AQA examiner (experience at AS and GCSE), the co-author of Chemistry 11-14 (Longman), the AQA GCSE Science books along with some work on Higher Science 1 for GCSE (Longman).  I also maintain the Chemistry section of Channel 4's Amazing Grades web portal.

Copyright

I am happy for anyone to use these resources as they are or to adapt them for use in teaching.  However, they should not be used for commercial gain in any way and I do retain the copyright.  If I am infringing any copyright (perhaps with some images or anything else), then please contact me and I will immediately remove that material.

Fonts

Some files use Chem Font which can be freely downloaded by clicking on the font name.

Safety

There are some practicals included on the site.  You need to carry out a full risk assessment before carrying out any experiment and should not rely on the limited safety information given on the pupil sheets.
